*Longstone camogie club held their AGM in Longstone Hall on Sunday. Briedge O’Hare continues as chairperson and the new secretary is Theresa Magorrian. All indoor training will be starting in about two weeks time-details to follow later. Annemarie Smith and Jackie Dundas will manage the U-8 and U-10 girls, and some of the senior players will help out with juvenile teams this year.

*The All Ireland winning Down minor team of 1987 were remembered on Sunday and presented to the crowd between the championship finals at Pairc Esler. Longstone had two players involved, namely, Raphael Haughian and Noel Haughian. Hard to believe 25 years have passed since that title win.

*Youth Club for the autumn/winter season continues in Longstone Hall this Friday night and Supervision rota: Primary, 6.45-8.30pm, Geraldine McCartan, Annemarie Martin, Kerry Trainor, Raphael Haughian, Terry Trainor and Damian Cunningham; Secondary, 8.30-10pm, Ann Rogers, Raphael Haughian and Michael Haughian.

*Lower Mourne U-21s, Ballymartin, Glasdrumman and Longstone, will take part in a South Down competition which starts this Sunday with a home game against Mayobridge.

*Minor football team training resumes on Monday nights, starting next Monday, in the Ambrose Sports Hall form 7.30-8.45pm.
