*The Fashion Night in Longstone Hall last Friday proved to be a big success for the Friends of Moneydarragh Primary School. Thanks to everyone who supported the event and took part on this fun night, which was primarily for the Girls!

*The Youth Club had an end of year trip to Lisburn Leisureplex, coincidentally situated not far from Longstone St., on Sunday. Two busloads of children, along with parents and guardians, departed Longstone on Sunday morning and firstly went to the pool for some thrills and spills on the slides and in the water. After all that action everyone headed for lunch before going to the omniplex to watch a choice of movies. It was early evening when everyone arrived back to Longstone safely and thanks to the Youth Club committee for arranging the trip which by all accounts was a very enjoyable day.

*Camogie Notes: Longstone competed in an all county blitz hosted by An Riocht on Saturday and the girls had a great time with put in an excellent display of camogie. The team was Orlagh Smyth, Katie Smyth, Orianna McGoey, Taylor Poland, Caitlin Trainor, Tara Rooney, Linden Haughian and Sarah Fitzpatrick. Thanks to Ann-Marie Smyth for looking after the team and to the organisers for hosting a great day. Well done to Clare Rooney, Aleacha Rooney and Conor Kelly who completed the camogie referees training course recently, and to the girls who completed the juvenile referee course, namely, Sheree Fitzpatrick, Kelsie Rogers and Niamh Rogers. Roisin Rogers and Ann Rogers completed a First aid & defibrillator training course recently in Strabane. Good luck to Niamh Rogers, a member of the county U-16 and minor panels with Longstone’s Sean Rogers and Ann Rogers as selectors, for this season. Down minors play Derry on Easter Monday in Castlewellan at 1pm. Sean Rogers and Roisin Rogers attended the Camogie Congress in Cork on behalf of the county board over the weekend. If any club players have skorts that they no longer need would they please pass them onto our younger players and contact Ann Rogers for help with this.
