*Lower Mourne (Longstone/Glasdrumman) played their first U-21 Group game on Sunday away in Saval. The home team, St Colman’s (Saval/Ballyholland) proved to be the better team and won by a comfortable margin. Next game is this Sunday at home to Glenn in St Mary’s Pk., Glasdrumman, at 12.30pm.

*Club/County Draw tickets (£120) now on sale. Will club supporters please buy from committee members to help support Longstone club. If interested please contact club co-ordinator, Dympna Rooney, on 078284 57610.  Payment is either by standing order, £10 per month for 12 months, or full payment up front. The Prize Fund is £110,000, with several prizes distributed each month, and is being overseen by the Down County Board.

*Youth Club this Friday: 7– 8.30pm for primary school and 8.30 – 10pm for secondary school. Please register your child this Friday night if not registered yet. Parents note that when you register children for youth club you will be asked to go on the rota for supervision. It will only be a few nights over the course of several months to spread the supervising duties between many rather than just a handful of people.

*There will be Music in Longstone Hall this Saturday with John D, from 10pm.

*Mass for deceased members will take place in Longstone Hall next Monday at 7pm.

*Juvenile kitbags, for players aged 12 and below, are on sale at £23. Please contact Dympna Rooney on 078284 57610 if interested.

*There is a considerable amount of clothing, coats, jackets and jumpers, in Longstone Hall which has been left behind this year. The items can be collected from the Hall any night and anything not claimed before Christmas will be passed onto a charity.

*The AGM of Longstone GAC will take place on Sunday, December 4, at 7.30pm in Longstone Hall. All members and supporters are welcome.

*There is an Irish language Intensive course, organised by Glór Uachtar Tíre, this Friday and Saturday, November 11-12, in the Kilmegan Centre in Castlewellan (beside the Catholic Church).
