*Lower Mourne U-21s played on Friday against Shamrocks in Pairc Esler. At half-time the visitors led by five points. During the second period Shamrocks got their game together and ended up wionning by a point, 1-13 to 1-12. This was the last game of the season for the U-21s and thanks to the Longstone and Glasdrumman players and management for getting the team ready and able to compete in each game they played.

*Well done to Kieran Trainor who received the 2011 South Down Referee of the Year, for Senior grade games, at Friday night’s Awards ceremony.

*Zumba with Lisa continues in Longstone Hall on Wednesday evenings (tonight) from 7-8pm. Everyone welcome.

*Annual Juvenile Awards Night, football and camogie, U-8 to U-16, in Longstone Hall this Friday, December 2, at 7.30pm.

*The AGM of Longstone GAC will take place this Sunday, December 4, at 7.30pm in Longstone Hall. All members and supporters are welcome.

*Youth Club resumes next Friday, December 9, Primary 7-8.30 and Secondary 8.30-10pm.

*Congratulations to St Columban’s U-16 team who won the Down Vocational Schools title last week against a fancied St Mark’s team. Longstone had Daithi Young and Gareth McDowell on the panel.
